<p>PURPOSE:To improve dust collecting efficiency in a vertical gas flow type wet electric precipitator having small site area. CONSTITUTION:The upper stage dust collecting unit 18 consisting of discharging lines 26, dust collecting plates 24 and spraying devices 28 and the lower stage dust collecting unit 20 consisting of discharging lines 44, dust collecting plates 42 and spraying devices 46 are attached in two stages in the perpendicular direction to a dust collecting chamber 14, allowing the total surface area of the dust collecting plates 24, 42 to be increased without increasing the site area. Under the dust collecting plates 24 of the upper dust collecting unit 18 of the dust collecting units 18, 20, a trough 38 for preventing water droplets from falling is dispored and a gutter 40 for discharging the washing liquid collected by the trough 38 to the outside of a wet type electric precipitator 10 is provided. Thereby, since water droplets do not fall from the dust collecting plates 24 on the upper stage side, sparks generated by falling water droplets in the lower stage dust collecting unit 20 can be prevented.</p> |
