<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the hitched feeling in the sharp turning-back operation of a steering wheel by monitoring the driving electric current for a motor for generating a steering assisting torque, restricting the electric current value for the driving electric current which excessively flows and prohibiting the above-described restriction in the sharp turning-back operation of the steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:As for a controller for a motor-driven type power steering device, the steering speed process monitoring flag, steering process monitoring flag and the electric current direction monitoring flag are set. Only in the case where the steering speed process monitoring flag is '1' and the steering process flag is equal to the electric current direction monitoring flag and the driving electric current for a motor for generating the steering assisting force is larger than the electric current restricting threshold value, the driving electric current for the motor is restricted. Accordingly, the turning-back state of a steering wheel is discriminated by monitoring the steering angular speed and the direction of the driving electric current, and the restriction for the electric current value of the excessive driving electric current which flows in the sharp turning-back operation of the steering wheel is eliminated.</p> |
