DENTAL GYPSUM COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain a dental gypsum composition having excellent adaptability to an agar-based aqueous colloidal impression material, providing a gypsum mold free from surface roughness. CONSTITUTION:Hemihydrate is blended with an alkali metal salt of tartaric acid, a sugaralcohol such as D-mannitol or D-sorbitol and a setting retarder such as Na citrate. Even when an impression material such as agar-based or alginic acid-based impression material, a gypsum mold having little surface roughness and excellent dimensional accuracy and mechanical strength is obtained.
