<p>PURPOSE:To print at a high speed, improve the efficiency, and optimize the printing by obtaining excellent printing with smooth hysteresis control by utilizing effectively energy accumulated in heat generating bodies and making it possible to select a plurality of dividing methods of blocks of the heat generating bodies, in a thermal printer having a plurality of the heat generating bodies mounted on a substrate for printing by dividing the heat generating bodies into a plurality of blocks. CONSTITUTION:Heat generating bodies are divided into a plurality of blocks. At each block, a data line SI common with each block for transferring printing data, a data latch signal LAT common with each block, heat generating body driving signal lines BE 1-4 distributed to each block individually are provided. Also, a control signal line SEL, for selecting dividing method of the blocks and a selector circuit constituted of a logic circuit are provided.</p> |
