PURPOSE:To provide an outboard motor oil pump formed in such a way as to discharge lubricating oil simultaneously with the start of an engine so as to enable desirable initial lubrication immediately after the start of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In an oil pump 36 for an outboard motor, an inlet 47 connecting an inlet hole 37 to a pump part 43, and an outlet 48 connecting the pump part 43 to a discharge hole 41 are extendedly formed in a pump case 42. The inlet 47 and outlet 48 are thereby provided with capacity to secure lubricating oil quantity required for initial lubrication at the engine starting time, and contraflow preventing structure 51 is provided on the upstream side of the inlet 47. |
