PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensively and easily a sterilized gauze by irradiating a gauze with a radiation after the gauze is packed bacteria-non-permeably and radiation-permeably. CONSTITUTION:A gauze is enveloped with a polyethylene plastic sheet and the four sides thereof are tightly closed by heat-sealing to a small packaging bag. After a plurality of these small packaging bag are stored in a corrugated paperboard case, it is irradiated with gamma-rays by means of a standing type radiation apparatus using cobalt 60, etc., as a radiation source to perform sterilization. It is possible thereby that there exists no remaining of water and toxic substances and management of the sterilization process becomes easy and continuous sterilization treatment of a large amount of products can be done under the shape of the final package and the same sterilization condition. |
