<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the generation of thermal stress distortion of an exhaust manifold itself by the combustion exhaust gas flowing through the manifold. CONSTITUTION:An inlet pipe 16 for cooling medium is provided through the pipe wall of an exhaust manifold, particularly, the pipe wall of a branched pipe 12 close to the cylinder 20 of an engine 18, and a cooling medium is introduced into the manifold 10 through the inlet pipe 16 to cool the combustion exhaust gas flowing through the inner part of the exhaust manifold 10.</p> |
