PURPOSE:To provide the above method and the cutting tool by which long life of the cutting tool and high speed and low energy cutting can be carried out. CONSTITUTION:A cutting tool 1 is constituted so that a cutting edge 6 is tilted by a required angle theta with respect to the direction V of the cutting speed, and a vibrating means 4 is provided for vibrating an edge part along the cutting edge 6. Cutting operation is performed while vibrating the edge part of the cutting tool 1 along the cutting edge 6. |
