HYDRATOR FOR CARBON DIOXIDE

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus enabling efficient hydration of liquefied gaseous carbon dioxide in the sea bottom at about 3000m depth of water in carrying out oceanic storage of the carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION:A transport boat 1 is provided with a tank filled with liquefied gaseous carbon dioxide and a conduit 2 having a nozzle 3 (ejector type, etc.) at the tip is connected to the aforementioned tank. In a stage when the transport ship 1 arrives a prescribed sea area, the conduit 2 is elongated so as to reach its end to the vicinity of the sea bottom 4. Liquefied gaseous carbon dioxide is then fed into the conduit 2 with a pump, etc., installed in the transport boat 1 to jet the liquefied gaseous carbon dioxide 5 from the nozzle 3. Thereby, the liquefied gaseous carbon dioxide 5 and the surrounding seawater are stirred to hydrate the liquefied gaseous carbon dioxide 5.
