PURPOSE:To obtain a coated sintered compact having oxidation resistance and wear resistance, coated with SiC film excellent in adhesive strength, and practically free from deterioration in strength due to SiC coating and also peeling of coating film and deterioration in strength at the time of use in a heat cycle. CONSTITUTION:The SiC-coated silicon nitride-silicon carbide combined sintered compact can be produced by coating an Si3N4-SiC combined sintered compact, in which SiC/(SiC+Si3N4) by weight is regulated to 0.1-0.5, with SiC having 2-100mum film thickness. |
