A plastic holder which is used to hold bottles on the neck side comprises a top plate 2 which is essentially flat and has at least two downwardly directed flanges 3, 4, 5, 6 which form an essentially U-shaped channel for accommodating bottle necks. On the inside of each U- shaped channel, there are holding members 11 which lie opposite one another in the vicinity of the free edges of the flanges 3, 4, 5, 6 and, immediately beneath a thickened neck section, engage on the top side of a bottle neck in order to hold the bottle neck in position. The holder may be provided with connecting parts 13, which are each located between two U-shaped channels, spaces for allowing bottle necks to pass through freely, in each case located between two holding members 11 which are located next to one another in the longitudinal direction of a U-shaped channel, a handle and means 17, 18, 19, 20 which make it possible to stack a plurality of holders together. <IMAGE>
