The fence comprises a support 3 and a thin-walled beam profile 1, 2 which is attached thereto by means of a clamp 6, 15. The clamp 6, 15 comprises a pressure piece 7, a receiving element 8 and a tightening means 9. A side section of the beam profile 1, 2 is clamped between the receiving element 8 and the pressure piece 7, and the tightening means 9 is located next to the beam profile 1, 2. Some of the advantages of the proposed fence are: ease of fitting and dismantling, and variable distance possible between the supports without adapting the beam profile. <IMAGE>
