METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE STATE OF A LONG-SIZE OBJECT

A method of controlling the condition of a lengthy construction element (1) consists in placing and fixing along at least three generatrices of the surface of said element a prolongated line (5) for transmitting wave energy. The measured curvature of the generatrices is used for determining the curvature and the twisting of the axis (6) of the element (1) as well as the coordinates of chosen points and mechanical characteristics. A device for implementation of the method comprises a source (4) of modulated wave energy, a three-dimensional filter (8), a prolongated line (5) for transmitting wave energy, a three-dimensional filter (12), a unit (7) for analog processing of information, an analog-digital converter (26), a microprocessor (27) and a video terminal (16).
