The circuit turns on and off input power of a cordless phone periodically when a cordless phone is out of service enable area. During turn on time, received signal strength is checked to detect that a cordless phone is in service enable area. The circuit includes RSSI units (1,2,3) for detecting received signal strength, a voltage divider (5) for providing reference voltage to a comparator (4), a comparator (4) for comparing the received signal strength and reference voltage, a CPU (6) for generating control signal according to output signal of the comparator, a memory (7) for storing on-off time interval set by a user, a first and a second switching device (Q1,Q2) for controlling input power supplied to a cordless phone.
