PURPOSE:To realize a laser oscillation frequency stabilizing device capable of ensuring higher frequency stability. CONSTITUTION:Emitted light from a semiconductor laser 1 is halved by an optical coupler 2, with one branch light directed to enter an acoustical optical modulator 3 and the other branch light derived as output light. The incident light to the acoustical optical modulator 3 is frequency-modulated with a modulation signal from a high frequency oscillator 9. First and zeroth modulated light beams yielded thereupon are directed to an optical switch 13, and are switched and outputted conformably with an output signal from a high frequency oscillator 14. An output light is directed to enter an absorption cell 7 and absorbed at a specific frequency. A transmitted light through the absorption cell 7 is detected by an optical detector 8. An electric signal from the optical detector 8 is detected in synchronism with a high frequency signal from the high frequency oscillator 14, and an error signal ES produced responsibly to a difference between the mean frequency of the zeroth and first modulated a peak frequency of the absorption cell 7 is rendered to negative feedback to the semiconductor laser 1 to stabilize the oscialltion frequency of the semiconductor laser 1. |
