PURPOSE:To accurately recognize and manage the used amount of a wire or the remaining amount of the wire on a spool. CONSTITUTION:A spool 6 is rotationally driven by means of a stepping motor 7 and, at the same time, pulses generated from a pulse generating sections 12 are cumulatively counted by means of a pulse counting section 14. An arithmetic processing part 11 finds the number of revolutions of the spool 6 from the count value of the section 14 and calculates the used amount of a wire 2 from the number of revolutions and diameter of the spool 6. The part 11, in addition, finds the remaining amount of the wire 2 on the spool 6 from the used amount of the wire 2 and total length the wire wound around the spool 6 in advance. The used amount of the wire 2 found by the part 11 is displayed on a display 22. When the remaining amount of the wire 2 becomes smaller than a prescribed value, an alarm 23 is actuated and informs workers of the arrival of spool exchanging time. |
