PURPOSE:To improve tap density of nickel hydroxide powder, to suppress expansion of a positive electrode, and to improve capacity density and cycle life characteristic of the positive electrode by determining the particulate shape of the nickel hydroxide powder and by including at least any one of Cd, Ca, Zn, Mg, Fe, Co, and Mn. CONSTITUTION:At least any of Cd, Ca, Zn, Mg, Fe, Co, and Mn is included in a nickel hydroxide active material powder by 1-7wt.%, while a particle of spheric shape and the like and a spheric particle are mixed together. |
