PURPOSE:To provide a fixing device by which a fixed image excellent in gloss and having high color reproducibility is obtained because toner is completely melted on the fixed image even in the case that a releasing agent such as silicone oil is not used at all or it is used very little even when it is used. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an endless belt 15 wound round to be laid between a fixing roller 10 and a carrying roller 14, a fixing roller 20 which is allowed to press-contact with the roller 10 through the belt 15, and a cooling fan 32 connected with a duct 31 which comes in contact with the surface of the endless belt laid between the rollers 10 and 14 and supplies fresh air, so that a situation that the toner 52 in a melted state is coagulated on a transfer paper on the way that it is carried with the transfer paper 51 and the silicone oil, the toner or dust is offset transferred on the belt 15 and the press-contacting roller 20 is prevented. |
