A method for production of modified polyamide through anion polymerisation in the presence of a catalyst system, using alkaline derivative of caprolactam as a catalyst and a urethane prepolymer as an activator, characterized in that the anion polymerisation process is applied to a mixture of caprolactam and laurynolactam in a ratio of 4:1 by weight, and the activator used is the urethane prepolymer in the form of an adduct of diisocyanate and tri-functional polyetherole with molecular mass no smaller than 3000, while the concentration of the activator in the reaction mass is 5-25 percent by weight, preferably 7-20 percent by weight.
