<p>PURPOSE:To improve the image processing accuracy for the hand shake correction, etc., by increasing the detecting accuracy of the movement vector by (k) times (k>1) with the circuit scale kept as conventional. CONSTITUTION:When the detecting accuracy of the movement vector is increased by (k) times, the capacity of the residual memories 34 and 35 are increased by (k<2>) times. Thus, a screen is divided into blocks and the movement vector of each block is detected. In this case, a 1st movement vector is detected by 1st movement vector detecting circuit 3 in a signal input period with accuracy lower than a desired level by (k) times. Then, a 2nd movement vector detecting circuit 4 detects a 2nd movement vector of the desired accuracy based on the detected 1st movement vector in a prescribed period of a vertical flyback time. Based on the 2nd movement vector, the hand shake of a video camera can accurately be corrected for the photographed images and the images can be processed with high efficiency in an image transmission state in regard of the compression of data, etc.</p> |
