<p>PURPOSE:To make the movement of a cursor small compared with the movement of a mouse so as to make the fine designation of a position easy to execute by providing a mouse device with a switch means to switch count ratio into 1/N of usual setting. CONSTITUTION:The ball part 1 of the mouse device is fitted to the rear face side of a mouse main body, and generates a pulse at every definite amount of the rotation of a ball, and an encoder part 3 counts this pulse, and outputs a count value. A resolution designation switch 4 is for designating the ratio of the amount of rotation of the ball and the count value of the encoder part 3, and is fitted to the mouse main body in the form of a push button. A resolution processing part 5 is provided with a first function to output the count value of the encoder part 3 as it is and a second function to output the count value of the encoder part 3 after giving it resolution conversion processing to 1/N-multiply it, and operates at either the first function or the second function in conformity to the designation of the resolution designation switch 4. Thus, the fine position designation is made easy to execute.</p> |
