PURPOSE:To improve the quality or translation results by providing a corresponding translation position discriminating part to which the translation result obtained by translating an original text is inputted and obtaining correspondence between the original text and the translation result by this discriminating part in accordance with relations between morphemes of the original text and the translation result to accurately obtain the correspondence between the original text and the translation result. CONSTITUTION:When an original text 1 and a translation result 2 obtained by translating it are inputted to a corresponding translation position discriminating part 3, this part 3 analyzes the word string of the translation result and retrieves each word in a translation dictionary and collates retrieved translation result canndidates with the original text to attain the correspondence between the original text and words, thereby checking how words of the original text 1 are translated. Since corresponding translation position discrimination is performed independently of an already prepared translation system, application to a translator of, for example, documents including typographical information is facilitated. |
