<p>PURPOSE:To provide an economizing means for energy consumption and a means to prevent the turn-off of a power source from being missed at a personal computer. CONSTITUTION:A sensor information registering means 4 registers instructed timer information. A sensor timer monitoring means 5 monitors it through a sensor 2 whether any person exists in front of a personal computer 3 or not and when the state of no person exceeds time shown by the timer information registered on the sensor information registering means 4, it is checked whether there is any job under operation at the personal computer 3 or not. When there is no job under operation, a power source ON/OFF instructing means 8 cuts off the power source of the entire personal computer through a power source control means 7 and when there is any job under operation, the power source of a display 1 is turned off through the power source control means 7. Further, when the person in front of the personal computer is sensed by the sensor 2 in the state of turning off the power source of the display 1, the power source of the display 1 is turned on through the power source control means.</p> |
