The present invention relates to a device for taking samples of substances deposited on the internal walls of a conduit (73). This device is characterised in that it consists of a partially hollow cylindrical body including, on its outer surface, at least one region (51), such as a window, opening onto an internal cavity (43), applicator means (59) making it possible to apply the said region onto the internal wall of the conduit (73), injection means (53, 53') making it possible to spray at least one jet of pressurised fluid onto the internal wall of the conduit (73), from the internal cavity (43), in order to detach the said substances therefrom, and means (3) for collecting the substances detached from the internal wall of the conduit (73) by the pressurised fluid. <IMAGE>
