PURPOSE:To efficiently find a defective element and a defective electric conductor without overlooking them by providing a means which changes display patterns and colors to be displayed partially and easily testing an LED display element. CONSTITUTION:This LED display device is equipped with a means which changes the patterns to be displayed and colors to be displayed partially and a function which tests the display operation of the LED display element. Further, the device has a means which continuously changes numbers to be displayed and colors to be displayed, a means which makes only one column of a display part 25 illuminate, and a means 16 which freely selects the column to illuminate and a number to be displayed. Furthermore, the device is provided with a means which makes only one column of the display part 25 illuminate while changing the colors of a test display, the columns to illuminate, and the numbers to be displayed continuously in order, a means which makes only one display element of the display part 25 illuminate in order, and a means which freely changes the colors of the test display, LED display elements to illuminate, and display contents by key operation during the test.
