A fire-resistant ceiling, composed of bearing joists suspended at the ceiling, equipped with hook fixtures, main slats fastened to those joists by means of hook fixtures pushed in between the main slats of the masking strips and border strips and skirting boards, characterized in that it has connectors (6) linking the main slats (3) and connectors (7) linking the masking strips (4), and has border profiles (10) joined with the main slats (3) by means of spring clamping elements (11), while the main strips (3) and masking strips (4) are fastened by means of clamps (5) and provided with thermal and acoustic insulation in the form of - pasted into the mouldings (3, 4) - inner insulation layers (8, 9) and an outer insulation layer (12), whereas the joists (1) are insulated by means of insulation pads (13) fastened by means of band clips (14).<IMAGE>
