PURPOSE:To disolve the trouble of management work and to improve working efficiency by setting the preservation period of picture information in an external storage means as time information, and selecting the prolonging or elimination of the preservation period from the comparison of preservation time information with present time information at the time of managing information. CONSTITUTION:When picture information on a character and a pattern is inputted from a keyboard 2 to edit it, the time of the presevation period of picture information whose edition is terminated is inputted to the setting place of the preservation period stored in a RAM 4 by numerals, and it is stored in a hard disk 5 being an external storage medium. At the time of managing stored picture information, storage information is outputted and displayed in CRT 3. Then, present time is obtained from a system clock 7 as time information, and a comparison means timewisely compares the presevation periods of picture information. When the preservation period of the picture information on a comparison object exceeds present time information as the result of comparison, a selective means selects whether picture information is eliminated or the preservation period is prolonged. |
