PURPOSE: To enable lowering the power consumption of a drive circuit and to obtain a good turn-off ability for high switching efficiency by combining a turn on mechanism with a turn-off mechanism. CONSTITUTION: DC voltage of 340V is impressed in the series circuit of transistors TR1, TR2, constituting a pair of switching elements. Because the transistors TR1, TR2 are MOSFETs, a DC power supply having a rise time of 3kV/ms or less which is impressed on resistors R1, R2 prevents TR1 or TR2 from being turned on. RUN signals, transmitted from a control circuit 2, stops and starts a bridge inverter. The control circuit 2 performs a delay operation so that resistors 9 and 10 can charge a voltage Vc without fail, which is half the DC voltage, before the inverter starts. |
