A method for producing micropowder of a solid boron solution in silicon carbide, characterised in that boric acid in a quantity of 0.5-6.0 per cent is introduced into a homogenized mixture of powdered carbon and silicone substrates of with molar C/Si ratio within the range 0.8-1.2, and heated at the temperature of an inert gas to a temperature of 1573 K.
