The monitor control circuit for a desk-top publishing unit uses a microcomputer to control the luminance, the chrominance, the focus and the position of the image displayed on a monitor. The circuit has a graphic card (100) and a monitor section (200). The graphic card includes an interface section (1), a graphic processor (2) for producing the graphic signal according to the data from the host computer, a graphic data storage section (3), and a color data converting section (4).
