Mfr. of welded hollow profiles - using cylindrical rollers with different dia. and chain drawing machine to move tubes

A metal strip (6) is welded into a circular tube, using an uncoiling device positioned in production direction, a forming tool, and a welding tool. It is then formed to final dimensions in a hollow profile device. A continuous chain drawing machine is located between welding tool and hollow profile device. This pulls the tube section through the forming and welding tools, and pushes it through the profile device. The rollers (12) of the profile device are not driven, are cylindrical, and have pairs of different OD, so that they begin forming at different times. USE/ADVANTAGE - Softer and weaker working method for mfr. of hollow profiles.
