A digitising panel, used to provide an input to a computer system, has a carrier of plastic. On the top is a surface that has a pattern of conductor tracks that are parallel to each other. Alternative tracks are interconnected using bridging tracks that are at right angles to the main tracks. On the underside of the carrier is a similar pattern of tracks to those on the top, except that these are at right angles to those on the top. Bridging elements connect tracks to form a continuous loop. The top and bottom tracks form a matrix.
