A process and device are disclosed for filtering liquids, in paticular drinks, in a reliable and simple manner, without negatively affecting the quality of the filtrate. Filters are produced in a precoating station by precoating with a precoating agent, then the filters are removed from the precoating station together with the filter-holders and brought to a filtering station, where they are stacked up like a tower and pressed together.
