PURPOSE:To simplify the process and to improve the yield by press-molding a positive pellet the diameter of which is smaller than the inside diameter of a positive support, inserting to the support, and fitting the pellet to the support by swelling on standing. CONSTITUTION:A positive pellet 1 the diameter of which is smaller than the inside diameter of a positive supporter 2 is press-molded, the positive pellet 1 is inserted to the positive support 2 preferably before the pellet 1 attains to 90% of extreme swelling, and kept in a dry atmosphere to fix in the positive support 2. On the other hand, a negative lithium sheet 3 is press-bonded to a negative collector 4' electric welded to a sealing plate 4, a polypropyrene gasket 5 is engaged on the periphery, a separator 6 is placed on the negative electrode 3, an electrolyte is poured in, the positive electrode is placed, and then these are inserted to a positive case 7 and sealed. If desired, a positive support may be welded on the inside bottom of a positive case previously. |
