An installation for measuring the net weight of a packed article has a pneumatic control system which enables the tare weight to be checked. The weight of the article is counterbalanced by the pneumatic pressure on the piston (33) of a pneumatic cylinder. The pneumatic circuit is controlled by two valves which can be actuated by press buttons (T1, T2). Actuating one of the press buttons provides a pressure which balances the gross weight, whilst actuating the other button provides a reduced pressure which balances the net weight automatically. USE/ADVANTAGE - Pneumatic system for weighing articles. Checks the tare weight automatically.
