The articulation is of particular application to vehicle seats. It comprises a fixed endplate (1) and a movable endplate (2), both mounted on a common axis and having teeth with which a planet wheel (9) driven by an eccentric (3) engages. A locking disc (14) whose centre lies on the common axis is keyed so as to rotate relative to the eccentric (3). When torque is applied to the movable endplate the planet wheel locks itself against the disc (14). ……
