A special container, for holding heating cost distribution measurement ampoules, consists of a box and a lid, a grid (1) being inserted in the box at two or more horizontal planes and having grid apertures of diameter minimally larger than the outer diameter of the ampoules (2). Pref. an elastic sealing layer is inserted in the inside of the lid and the container is made of polypropylene. USE/ADVANTAGE - The container is used for holding spent and replacement ampoules contg. volatile liq., usually methyl benzoate. It facilitates transport and handling of the ampoules and allows transport of spent ampoules to a central reprocessing station for emptying, cleaning and refilling at a cost similar to the mfg. cost of new ampoules
