The car safety belt fitting comprises a guide rail (1) with engagement slots and a toothed adjuster (4) which can slide in the rail longitudinal direction (arrow 2,3), and which is pressed against the rail by a spring. The second tooth flank (9), together with the plane of the adjuster, from which the tooth projects,,form an acute angle (alpha).
