Hinge (10) suitable for use in cooperation with bodywork (25) and a door (28) of a motor vehicle and comprising a first stationary bracket (11) intended for fixture to an upright (24) of the bodywork (25), the first bracket (11) including a base (15) with a hole (38), and comprising also a second movable bracket (21) intended for fixture to the door (28) and a first pin (14) to connect the first stationary bracket (11) to the second movable bracket (21) with a hole (23), a cam (17), a torsion bar (16) with a wheel/cam follower (19) and a connection element (20) with a hole (34) being also included, a first pre-assembled unit (36) being obtained which consists of the connection element (20), the first stationary bracket (11) and the torsion bar (16) with the cam follower (19) located in a central position of the hinge (10), the torsion bar (16) extending approximately parallel to the supporting base of the stationary bracket (11), the first pin (14) being inserted in the hole (38) of the base, the connection element (20) being conformed peripherally as a cam (17) with which the wheel/cam follower (19) cooperates resiliently, the cam (17) being located in a central position of the hinge (10), the first pin (14) being inserted in the hole (34) of the connection element (20), the torsion bar (16) being secured to the first stationary bracket (11), the first pre-assembled unit (36) being anchored to the upright (24) of the bodywork (25) and coupled to the second movable bracket (21) by mere insertion of the first pin (14) in the hole (23) of the second movable bracket (21), thereby obtaining rotation-prevention reciprocal fixture means (35). Process for the automatic assembly by a robot of a door (28) of a motor vehicle on bodywork (25) of the vehicle, whereby the bodywork (25) and door (28) are equipped respectively with a first stationary bracket (11) and a second movable bracket (21) of a hinge (10), a first pin (14) and a connection element (20) being pre-assembled with the stationary bracket (11), and whereby the door (28) is lifted and lowered onto the bodywork (25) until the first bracket and second bracket (11-21) enter into cooperation with each other, the hinge (10) conforming to one of Claims 1 to 9 inclusive and that with insertion of the fir-pin (14) in a hole (38) in the second movable bracket (21) the connection element (20) and the second movable bracket (21) provide rotation-prevention reciprocal fixture means (35). |
