Injection mould for composite moulding esp. of two different plastics at the junction of which is a parting slide (7) which is positioned across the cavity (3) for moulding the first part and withdrawn for moulding on the second part. The axial movement of the slide is pref. by a hydraulically or pneumatically operated transverse wedge acting on a plunger (8) connected to the parting slide (7). The free end of the parting slide may have steps to increase the connecting surface between the two sections of moulding. With a long moulding, several independent or coordinated plungers (8) may be used. The parting slide (7) may be of bronze alloy to inhibit polymer sticking to it. A long parting slide (7) may have a number of slots across part of its width to protect profiled or textured surfaces of the moulding (by making the slide flexible).
