PURPOSE:To give the good landing properties to the whole picture while being able to recognize the most suitable Q value all over the picture by making the shape of the curved surface at least either of the effective curved surface parts of the panel inside and the shadow mask into the specific curved surface shape. CONSTITUTION:The X-axis section is an arc having a radius RH, while the Y- axis section is an arc having a radius RV. A crossover line of the first plane, which contains the Z-axis substantially according with the tube axis and the X- axis, and the shadow mask constitutes an arc of the radius RH, while the crossover line of the second plane, which contains the Z-axis and the Y-axis, and the shadow mask forms the arc having the radius RV. Further, the Q value at an optional point is fixed by setting up the arc having the radius R to be constituted by the crossover line of the third plane, which is parallel to the second plane at a distance (x) while containing an optional point of the shadow mask, and the shadow mask. That is to say that the arc, in which the radius R of the A-A section parallel to the Y-axis containing the point far from the Y-axis in the X-axis direction by the distance (x) can be expressed by a formula: R=RV+ kx<m>, is formed.
