A display with rearrangeable characters, for instance for price display at sales points, consists of a front plate 1 with recesses 7 for rearrangeable digital character segments or bars 2, which are incorporated or inserted into the front plate 1, for displaying digital characters, and a removable rear or locking plate 8 to be fixed on the rear of the front plate 1. In their unlocked position, the bars 2 are rotatable in the front plate 1 about a transverse axis 4, 5 in each individual bar field to display the desired digital character by means of the colours of the bar 2 and with the bar 2 in its rest position in the plate 1. Each bar 2 is self-locking in its rest position, and the bars 2 are secured in this position against further rotation by means of the rear plate 8, at the same time as they display the desired digital character as an unbroken whole. <IMAGE>
