A method of repairing a fluid flow machine element comprising the steps of a) manufacturing an insert having a first part (20) of durable material, a second part (21) of a material the same as or compatible with said machine element (10) so as to be readily attachable thereto and a barrier (22) between said first part (20) and said second part (21) made from a material softer than said first part or said material the same as or compatible with said machine element (10). b) removing damaged material from said machine element (10) substantially the shape of said insert; and c) securing said insert to said machine element (10). <IMAGE> |
