Plate forming a swivel base for a vehicle seat in which a first plate (6) having a circular zone (6a) at its centre comprises, in its central part (6b), a raised-up zone in which there are included, on the one hand, a circular race (7) for a set of balls (8) and, on the other hand, in its central part (6c), a circular opening (9), whilst tabs (11, 12) fixed under the frame (10) of the seat cushion of a seat are securely fastened to transverse seat cushion tubes (14) mounted under the opposite edges of a component (13) of square shape, having a disc (15) at its centre, the lower circular part (15a) of which disc serves as a bearing cage for the set of balls (8), whilst the outer edge forms a race (13a) for a second set of balls (16), then a circular cap (17), fixed on the top (6c) of the plate (6), forms a cage for the set of balls (16), and finally a locking member prevents the rotation of the component (13) with respect to the plate (6). <IMAGE> |
