PURPOSE:To prevent dishonest usage by rewriting magnetic information, by providing a discriminating means to discriminate by whether the magnetic information read by the first read device is corresponding to the lacked part of identification information read by the second read means due to a hole made in the identification information area. CONSTITUTION:A third track T3 is provided with a magnetic card 1 along the printed arrow mark 1c, where the identification information I which comprises the repetition of the same data of '0' and '1' is recorded by fre quency modulation method. And at the part where a punch hole H1 is made in the identification information area I, the information corresponding to that part is physically lacking. A CPU 10 stores the magnetic information and identifi cation information at a RAM 12, and discriminates whether the balance data of magnetic information corresponds with the lacking part of the identification information I stored in the RAM, and when it does not correspond, it is regarded as dishonest use. |
