A composition for topical application to human skin to provide protection from excessive exposure to ultra-violet rays, comprises: a. an effective amount of ultrafine titanium dioxide as an inorganic sunscreen; b. an effective amount of octyl methoxycinnamate as an organic sunscreen; and c. a cosmetically acceptable vehicle for the sunscreens; the weight concentration of the titanium dioxide and octyl methoxycinnamate being within the region designated A in the accompaning drawing. o |
