A landscaping structure and kit for constructing the same comprises pieces of timber having similar square cross sectional dimensions which are arranged in at least one geometrical shape having at least two layers of timber. The bottom layer of timbers is provided with blind corner holes while the corner holes of the top layer of timbers are through holes. Overlapping timbers form corner joints which are secured by hardwood dowels through such corner holes to form modules. Blind intermediate joiner holes are also formed in one face of each timber. In the case of timbers of the bottom round of each module, the blind intermediate joiner holes are formed in the opposite face to the blind corner holes. The joiner holes of the top layer of timbers of one module align with those of the bottom layer of timbers of a module stacked on top, and the modules secured together by hardwood dowels inserted in these joiner holes. |
