PURPOSE:To provide an image smoothing system capable of easily conducting smoothing processing accurately by simple circuit constitution and simple decision operation without forming constitution, in which a central picture element and a picture element block of nXm as a picture element group in the periphery of the central picture element and a prepared template are compared as shown in all conventional techniques. CONSTITUTION:In an image smoothing processing system, in which each picture element (including a white picture element and a block picture element and hereinafter called a dot) forming a matrix-shaped image pattern is divided into a plurality of unit elements and an image output is performed while property signal-reversing the divided unit elements, the relationship of each dot forming an image pattern and adjacent dots is detected as boundary data, stepped positions and stepped kinds are discriminated from the relationship of a plurality of boundary data positioned on a specified scanning line in the horizontal or vertical direction while the dot length of a flat section continuously connected at the stepped positions is detected, and the image output is conduced while properly reversing the divided unit elements on the basis of these data. |
