PURPOSE:To enable safe and smooth travel by judging the congested state by a congestion detecting means, and retrieving-sampling a recommended route automatically to display a new recommended road. CONSTITUTION:A system control part 9 performs the sampling of vehicle speed obtained by counting the pulses of a vehicle speed pulse sensor 5 by a present position computing part 8, and sets a congestion flag when the vehicle speed is larger than 0km/h, less than 20km/h, for instance, with the travel of 10 minutes or more, or the braking interval of a driver is less than 30 seconds, for instance, with this state continued more than 10 minutes. A route retrieving- sampling part 7 performs route retrieving-sampling processing, and a display control part 10 generates a display signal by the indication of the system control part 9 so as to display a new recommended route from a display part 12. Induction is then performed in such a way as to avoid a congested road. |
