<p>PURPOSE:To provide a paper feed device that can improve the changeover operability of an automatic paper feed mode and a manual insertion paper feed mode. CONSTITUTION:By operating an automatic paper feed mode operation portion 41 or 42, a mode to feed a paper sheet automatically from a paper feed cassette is designated by driving a manual insertion drive portion 34 in a closing direction when a manual insertion tray is opened and closing the manual insertion tray, and also arrangement is made so that even an inexperienced user may be able to designate easily a manual insertion paper feed mode by operating a manual insertion paper feed portion 40 and driving the manual insertion drive portion 34 in an opening direction and opening the manual insertion tray automatically.</p> |
